Pituitary Gland Disorders

Pituitary gland is considered as “Father Gland” as it controls all other glands of body (thyroid, adrenal, testes and ovaries) through signal hormones. It is present in the base of brain just beneath the delicate nerves carrying signal from eyes to brain. Pituitary tumors can cause eye symptoms , peripheral vision loss and even blindness. Pituitary tumors are usually non-functional but occasionally may produce excessive amounts of one of the signal pituitary hormones along with deficiency of other Pituitary hormones.
